I bought this kit 2 days ago, I like the kit overall but there a few things you should know about. Your tail boom and motor are not taken apart easily, I had to cut the wires (i cut a the tail roter side) and had to soder them back, so be aware if you don't like messing with the wiring, your tail boom replacement will be unusable. Also while on the tail boom, there is a carbon piese that is used to connect the tail boom to the frame, it is a tight fit in the tail boom and its a very brittle piece. I broke the one that came with the kit, and had to order another. I suggest that if you order this kit also order at least 1 more of the Tail Boom Carbon Rod (for MH-MSR025). I ordered 3 more just in case. The tail boom is probably the worst part of the product, I think it could be improved over all. Another thing to note is that there is a metal bar that attaches the main rotor hub to the blade grip, this is not included with the kit you have to salvage the one from your old assembly. This is hard, but putting the rod in place it is tight and you need to be careful. I didn't break this pieces but I could see it happening.

Over all the kit is nice and I'm very satisfied, Just wanted to prepare others for what caught me off guard. I'd suggest to micro heli that if they sold a tail motor that wasn't already attached to the boom like eflite does, I'd have bought that as well just to not have cut the cables to the motor. Finally one other note is that with my plastic landing rails I could squeeze some of the non eflite batteries I have (they are fatter) but with this there is no give so Im having to use Velcro, not a big deal but if your like me and have a hodgepodge of batteries it can be a pain.

Waiting to test fly!

The kit was fun to assemble. Have only a bit more to do and should be to get fly soon.

Agree with others that the tail boom is loose. Looks like it might work better int the newer Aluminum and carbon fiber frame?

Having flown a mSR in stock form, I was very curious on the CNC upgrades from Micorheli would perform. So in jumping in and purchasing the combo upgrade kit, I was very excited to get started. First off all parts are very well made and production is top notch. Some kits have detailed instructions and diagrams that are very easy to follow. Product fitting is excellent and all parts complement the whole package.

Only downside to my project, was I really have no idea of what component hade more of a performance gain over the other, as I did the whole upgrade. But I am happy to report that the final outacome "will" improve your flying and the machine handles and response are vastly improved. To top it off the "look" of the whole thing is just sweet. Also shipping is lightning fast with DHL. I would summerize that this product is worth the money and recommended to anyone who wants the nicest looking Blade mSR on the block..happy flying.

The last review pretty much sums it up. The tail boom does want to move around a little, but a drop of CA has solved it. Also getting the tail fin to keep from moving takes a little work. I think the cnc flybar seems to make the biggest difference. The heli sounds cooler, and flys better. And it is defiantly the coolest looking Msr in town.

Goes together quickly, New Swashplate seems to have resolved all the missing ball issues of the old one, at least on mine. The replacement flybar is a huge improvement over stock. Absolutly no slop at all now. Weight overall with the whole system is a little higher, but nothing the motor can't easily handle. the Carbon landing gear, while I would have preferred they omit the decorative fin thingy from the front ( not my style) is quite functional, and far, far far stronger than the origional. I've gone through at least 8 sets of the old stock gear, and that alone will save me $4 a crash. The tail boom is a bit of a pain to install, and I'd really like to see a set screw on the frame to ensure the boom is locked in place. As is, it might rotate with enough of a bump. I'll likely modify my frame to accept a small hex setscrew and dimple the boom to guard against that. The wire installation process in the Boom is somewhat annoying. I probably would have paid $10-12 extra for a boom with a pre wired motor so I don't have to soldier the wire leads after threading the motor. Overall, all parts quality, no issues. Heli flys better than it did before. If you buy this in pieces, definitly get the head and blade holders first, then the flybar and swash. The lower guide and coller are nice and do reduce some slop on the, but the other parts make a much bigger difference in removing play from the linkages. The one gimicky part of the whole affair is the horizontal stabilizer for the boom. I would rather this be just a piece of carbon fiber and a single screw with a washer, similar to how they attached the rear fin. Tap and thread another two holes in the boom, add an allignment pin to the front of the fin, get rid of the plastic mount piece entirely, and thread a small screw in the back. less weight, no worries about the fin looking stupid if it gets knocked sideways.
